Our Story

What Is Rhydhun?

Founded in 2015 as a Hindi-Film dance team, Rhydhun has evolved into Duke University's premier Bollywood fusion dance collective. Pronounced Rih-DHUN (like "fun"), we're a co-ed team that blends artistry, athleticism, and South Asian culture.

We compete on the national stage through the Desi Dance Network (DDN) circuit — a nationwide network of collegiate Bollywood-fusion teams. In 2025, we qualified for DDN Legends and finished 5th place in the nation.

What is DDN Legends?

Legends is the national championship for collegiate South Asian fusion dance — the season finale where the top teams from across the country compete on one stage for the title. Teams earn their spot through the DDN circuit all year long.
